Don't forget - Mike Feder will be paying tribute to Lynn on what was really her "home" - SiriusXM Left 127 (ok, it's no Sirius 146, but still...). Saturday night starting at 6PM EST. I will be on and some others close to her. He'll also be taking calls, so this will be a perfect time for the regulars to chime in.
I hope everybody here will call and keep the lines full through the whole show. I don't know how long the tribute is scheduled to last, but I'll look forward to hearing the call-ins. With the HUGE crowds gathering for New Year's Eve in Times Square, a BIG THANKS to Mike Feder for taking on them on in order to get to the SIRIUS/XM studio; what a guy!

OMG this is first time I have heard Lynn sing Nina Ballerina! Now I know why all of you have been asking for it. And yes Lynn I am happy but tearful too! Thanks Mike Feder. I am enjoying your tribute to Lynn Samuels..

Thanks Mike for the wonderful tribute and thank you for sharing my email with everyone about when Lynn sent me the neoprene soda can holder. I cried! I wish that there would have been another hour on the show for more callers. There will never be another one like Lynn. NEVER!

Thanks, Mike, for a great tribute. Lots of laughs and some tears. Great closing thoughts about (radio) "decency." Lynn had it, so do you.

Thanks Mike for a great show. I cried with the Nina song, but I feel Lynn had the tribute show she would have loved. The show helped me put some closure on my broken heart. I'll never read another Stephen King book without thinking of Lynn.

It was absolutely wonderful. Ditto EVERYTHING everyone else has posted, the stories were great, Cindy, I hope you're well and will miss following your life and adventures... I'm wondering about Chris and his Grampa? Has anyone heard from them? I was SO relieved to find out that friends were able to attend her funeral and spoke, I'd been under the impression that her family wasn't letting others participate from what Alex and Richard said on Tuesday. This show was a thousand times better, really answered a lot of questions, helped me find a little closure, and I heard people who knew her well say things I thought or suspected, but never expected confirmation of/on, I'm so thankful for all of the answers... I don't have to wonder and worry forever. (I like to KNOW things.) I miss Lynn, miss her like I miss my Mom. I cry a lot. I've been corresponding with Sirius asking for rebroadcasts in her slots, etc. and nada from them, the people who write back are cut-and-paste robots. Oh well. Mike, I will write to you personally via your web site when I feel more coherent. I know I'm rambling now. First thing I do in the morning is look for Lynn, news of Lynn, friends of Lynn... thank you all for loving her as I do and caring about her radio family. Me, I'm the one in Iowa whose cat turned off the radio, saved snapping turtles and promised Lynn a private apartment on our "compound" when the sh*t hit the fan and she'd need to escape the city and take refuge in a self-sufficient place... it was a dream, a fun one. I can still imagine it.
Love,
E. WG. D.
P.S. Happy New Year, everyone. Maybe a better wish is "Happier New Year". I wish I could hear Lynn bitch about the garbage Obama just signed... the Lynn in my head is ranting and raging.

Walter Sabo, the radio man that "discovered" Lynn wrote a beautiful piece on her here:
http://www.talkers.com/2011/12/27/passion-for-pistachio/
He also says on his Facebook page"
"When I first heard Lynn Samuels on WBAI, I thought---how the heck do I get her on my client WOR (this was 1985 when WOR was a dominant station.)? She was soooo funny and so strong. The first talent I did "everything" to hire at Sirius was Lynn Samuels. Struck with natural skills. A super decent person. She is the voice of our website and we share a birthday. sad sad sad"
"the point is that when I persuaded mgmt to put her on WOR and Sirius, she was worth the fight. Always worth the fight."
Thank you Walter! Without you none of us would have heard her.

Hey E wildgirl D -Amen-I miss Lynn so much too and I miss the news that we got on her website that was beyond the Mainstream-she would definitely be all over that garbage that O signed. It's utterly atrocious! I know that Lynn is in a better place and won't have to suffer when the SHTF.
