Great clip, ty for posting .. I never called the show, ive listened for 5 years, sent a few emails back and fourth with LS, im still in shock, what a great loss. Just incredibly depressing.

Thanks to the people who've posted these since we lost Lynn. She and I go back to the early '90's. I never spoke to her on air (was kept on hold a few times and I chickened out, but she'd always respond to emails.)I lost track of her once she turned up on Sirius. She was always extra special around the holidays, with her complaints about about commercialism, and people's hypocracy, but when she sang along to Christmas songs with her callers, you knew she really loved the holidays, too. Losing her now is extra hard, but these postings put a smile on my face as I listen to an old friend.

Great clip, thanks!

There's a website which continually streams the taped radio shows of another great broadcaster, Jean Shepherd:

http://insomniatheater.com/

I wonder if something like that could be set up for Lynn?

Have no idea how much of her stuff is around, though. Shepherd had a serious geek fan base, that was recording lotsa stuff from home for decades.

My guess is that that's just not true for Lynn, but I don't know for sure.

Thank you for posting. I loved her reviews; she was so passionate and funny. This has been a rough week because I can't stop thinking about her. I listened to her from BAI days and WABC (even her tryout at WOR). Couldn't afford Sirius but we still emailed occasionally. I hope this site stays up and if people can post her show clips, it would be so appreciated.

I loved her WBAI show! She was a panick!

I can't believe they're not talking about her much on BAI. She was one of the reasons I started listening, and listened less after she left.

She was great!

I'm relieved that this site is still very much active and want to especially thank Billy.

I know Lynn was as loyal to her fans as we were to her. She worked at 2 small radio stations in between her jobs at WABC and Sirius. Both stations had weak signals so she made sure that they would stream her show on their website in order for her fans to listen to her. This was before radio streaming was the norm. I appreciated her for it and arranged my Saturdays around her show.

When she first began working at Sirius, she again made an agreement to have them stream her show. This last time was in order for her fans to listen for free. Sirius soon reneged on the agreement. But, I never forgot that she was thinking about us while she looked for radio work.

I'm hoping that they have radio in Heaven and Lynn was able to do her out-of-tune, out-of-sync carolling afterall.

This is Lynn Samuels, Broadcasting high atop Heaven. Today I want to discuss traveling, without airports, subways, cabs or buses. Also want to discuss how Angels get their wings, and how soft mine are. But first I've been reading this great book by the pool. Oh did I tell you it was 98 degrees in Scottsdale, AZ and the pool was warm? The flight was great, no TSA feeling me up. Lets go to break and when we comeback, Nina Ballerina

I thank Richard Bey for his tribute but thought he was beyond boring and didn't like the fact that he cut many people off during sharing and most importantly Lynn's sister. This tribute seemed rushed and totally unprepared. My girl, Lynn, deserved so much more!! Will miss you Lynn forever. RIP & take care of my Nosey!!

I just listened to BAI and they were saluting the famous caller, Monroe who I believe died on the same day as Lynn. I wish there was more "Lynn" time during the show but Monroe was one of her regulars in the old days and she wouldn't have minded.
Love the "Lynn in heaven" post. I wish they would stream the Sirius salute. I'm glad her sister called in. I got the feeling they were very different people (there was only one Lynn).

That was great, thanks for posting it! Earlier this week I changed the preset in my car for Sirius Stars.

I am so very grateful for every new posting. Listening to Lynn makes me laugh out loud no matter how depressed I am!! Is there any way of making her taped shows from Sirius available for download? I'm sure people would be willing to pay for them.

I found out today, that not only is Lynn's showed canceled, but she is dead. I would like to have the old shows available online.

Would love to have some of her old shows made available.

Lynn is and was a treasure.

I miss her.

I couldn't agree more. I do anything to hear any of Lynn's archived work from over the years. She is a national treasure. So sad that she's gone when we need outspoken people like her more than ever. RIP.

2012 will be bleak without you, Lynn.

Happy newyear Lynn heads !!!!

Reading these blessed comments about "my Lynn" helps to soften the pain. Thank you all.

"and in my younger years I was considered beautiful' ha ha, lady, never as beautiful as our Lynn! Lynn was right in every point. Gosh, she was so talented, when Lynn used to say one doesn't have to go to college, I wanted to call and say, well if I had your talent ,I wouldn't go either! Keep these broadcasts coming!

Does anyone have any recommendations for radio or tv hosts or columnists that don't just parrot talking points? I realize it's a dangerous game these days to criticize those in power but are there any brave souls left that we can read - listen to?

It feels like we no longer have any expectation for free speech. But no wonder. Bill Maher lost a job by saying how he felt about 911. Helen Thomas got moved back for saying how she felt about Israel. I'm assuming Cenk Uygyr got fired for not playing along. Lynn got downsized because of complaints not about her shopping commentary but her criticism of Obama (the reply to which should have been "change the channel").

The list goes on. I know I'd probably keep my mouth shut if my job depended on it but I sure admire those, like Lynn, who speak out anyway.

Also does anyone know the name of the crime author that Lynn was reading a couple of months ago? I think there were several books by same author about a NYC detective and she got them on her Kindle.

Can't listen to links just yet and if it's included in any of those, sorry!

I am still checking the website...because I always did, especially after she lost her daily show. I just want to hear Lynn's story of what happened....it is so very sad without her.

The clip I most want to hear, is the beginning of show right after she came from looking at the condo in Arizona. I missed the beginning of that show because it is on at 7am in San Francisco. By the time I woke up, she had already talked about why she did not buy the condo. I really want to hear what she said. I know she did not buy it, only, but not why. Maybe someone can post this? I emailed her about the problems of leaving your stuff alone in the summer in the condo if you don't run the air conditioning, and she wrote back. She was very nice. I was trying to figure out how high you can leave the air conditioning but not have any damage. I never found out the answer either. It could be 90 or 95 or 85. She never made to Arizona. That is very sad.

catnipper: Was it Patricia Cornwell? I think it was Cornwell. I remember commenting "Oh yeah, the Scarpetta books."
