Thank god. It really needs to be more like $11..maybe even more, never thought a ton about it. I own a repair company with 3 employees, I know what I'm talking about when I say: if you can't make money off a guy that makes 15 bucks an hour, your not charging enough or your supply is higher than demand. That's it, can't say it would be any other way. Fuck all these guys makin top dollar off a guys back that does ALL YOUR DIRTY WORK ....that's the tasks that are billable and hold the whole co. Up.

Minimum wage jobs are not meant to support adults or people with children, keep raising minimum wage jobs and see how high prices go and how expensive your basic goods become, and how few and far these jobs will be. AKA :thefeelgoods : Just go on welfare like the rest of bums...

AVM--apparently, according to tea party darling Joe Walsh, men are not meant to support their children either.
Did you have a point?

Just devastating news about Lynn.

Turn on the Christmas music and sing LOUD and out of tune all day in her memory!

Goodbye dear friend

r.I.p. Dear Lynn. You are not replaceable.

Listening to the tribute now. Her sister Judy just called. Lynns funeral arrangements will be private, which I believe Lynn would've wanted. Devastated. If anyone has been listening before 8:25 am do you mind sharing who else from the family called in? She hated Alex Bennet though.

The original thread when we learned of Lynn's passing (in the December archives on this site) is one of the saddest things I ever read. From wondering why Lynn wasn't on to worrying if she was "okay" to deeming the Internet reports of her death a hoax....denial, acceptance, anger....I defy anyone to read that real time thread without tearing up. I for one can never read that thread again. The fact that so many of us planned on spending part of our Christmas weekend with her only to be ultimately devastated that she suddenly was gone forever made it even worse. R.I.P. Lynn. As Howard and Robin will predictably say when they return from vacation, "Goodnight, funny lady."

You're right, WMinHB. That was a tough day and even more emotional to reread the posts. I'm happy Mike Feder is putting something together for Thursday and going in to the studio to do a call-in on New Year's Eve on SIRIUS 127. (Hope he doesn't get lost in the crowd;) Billy Masters has been great with the announcements and podcasts, plus asking people here for ideas. I know only Lynn could put together THE Tribute of all Tributes to Lynn Samuels, the way we probably need it, but Mike having Lynn's callers express their sentiments will be very comforting to me and hopefully the callers as well. So call-in, you guys! You've all been a big part of our lives when we listened to Lynn's conversations.
