What is your definition of a "true American"?

Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan was born in the USA making him just as American as anyone else born here. Is it because he wasn't white or not a Christian that makes him not a "true American"? I thought we were a free country, which includes freedom of religion. Hating people who aren't white, Christians is exactly why innocent people keep getting killed gunned down in this country.

There were warning signs that he was a threat to himself and too others, thats the real crime and tragedy here - this it could have been prevented. But the armed forces are stretched so thin and theres a lot of pressure on the military not to kick people out.
