I think we should prosecute these people and put them in jail. If people can be put into jail for lying to police people or obstructing justice then everyone in the CIA that participated in the deception should be put into Jail.

Put in jail ?
They ought to get the death penalty.
The CIA is center of evil in this world. Look into their history.
Especially the many DEMOCRATICALLY ELECTED GOVERNMENTS they overthrew all over the world And the death squads they set up such as SAVAK, DINA and the contras.

I don't think there is a Federal Death Penalty only States put people to death and Texas, Oklahoma and other states that routinly murdered their citizens wouldn't put these people in jail.

I am very happy we have the CIA. Are you people aware that EVERY country has people who do things that may or may not be totally legal or moral? I do not think the CIA needs to apologize, least of all to this congress. I think the congress needs to apologize to the people of this country. God bless the brave men and women of the CIA who sometimes place themselves in jeopardy so this country ccan deal with outside threats.

It's not the CIA that's singularly at fault. It's their leadership and the leadership at the time, but of course God forbid any decision makers would be held accountable. It's always easier to sacrifice the soldiers and not the generals who are the masterminds that are actually responsible.

Wrong.
The Bay of Pigs is just one example. The leader (Kennedy) at the time was trying to contain the reckless actions of the CIA but they went about defying him and ended up creating a disaster.
Remember that famous Kennedy quote about "breaking the CIA into a million pieces and scattering them to the wind".

Don't you people realize that ALL politicians are liars? Thats how they get in office. The obama administration lies just like the bush administration did. Its a game and we are all pawns. Wake up people. As I just said to Lynn, how come we do not hear about the deaths in Iraq every day as we did when bush was in office. Thats hypocritical.

Bob, you missed my point. The CIA is not solely responsible IN THIS CASE (since 2001). The Bushies also share some blame for misleading Congress.
