I'm wondering what would happen if everyone just upped and decided to stop using their credit cards. Cash for everything. I bet the banks would find a way FAST to accommodate these people.
This is why CCs are for EMERGENCIES ONLY. I don't know how many times I've posted that here.

"this is why CCs are for EMERGENCIES ONLY?" By "this," I assume u mean the subject of the article which talks about increasing APR's.
Let me explain something to u, Jamie in NC. CC's can be great if you know how to use them. Most CC's dropped their annual fees, even for all the reward cards.
I love credit cards because they give me Target and Home Depot gift cards, airline miles, 25 days to pay with no interest, 0% no fee balance transfers for short term cash loans, free buyer protection/insurance, free travel assistance, the ease of mind that you are not carrying a wad of cash in your pocket, the ability to contest fraudulent charges with ease, the ability to buy airline tickets and other things online, a way to build up your personal credit, discounts on gas, cell phones, groceries, etc, and so much more!
If you are using a credit card for emergencies only, I have no idea why. If you are responsible, they can be quite handy and profitable.
Yes, if you are irresponsible and charge more than you can afford, you can run into all sorts of problems, BUT if you know what you are doing, they can be awesome!
Use your cash, but I still like my credit cards. Hell, I love them!
