Back in 2005, entertainment reported Pat O'Brien's phone sex messages were leaked and it was quite a scandal. Lynn was one of the only people to not only play the messages on the air, but also give her own colorful commentary. Her doing so caused quite a stir in two ways: 1) she got loads of free publicity as someone who did whatever she wanted and 2) she was "asked" to please refrain from discussing the subject. And yet, the clip lives on in infamy.
Longtime listeners know that Lynn obsessed about getting her annual flu shot. Enjoy these clips as she discusses her attempts at getting a shot in 2005 and 2006.
In two clips, Lynn talks about how she always wanted to learn how to juggle. This comes up apropos of two completely unrelated subjects - Colombine and America's Got Talent, with a dash of Joan of Arcadia.
Lynn explains the difference between regular Coca Cola and Kosher Coca Cola. Along the way, she explains when Coca Cola started adding high fructous corn syrup, corn farmers, barley, beer, diet soda, the story of Passover, Moses, and even global warming!
Lynn's last appearance on national TV was on FoxNews back on July 20, 2007. She was debating Ann Coulter about teaching children what is appropriate and inappropriate touching. Making it even more historic is that Lynn's basically defending the Obama administration, if not Obama himself. Enjoy!
P.S. This was, at one point, on YouTube but has mysteriously disappeared.
From 2007 - After condemning bilingual education, Newt Gingrich tries to smooth things over by making a speech in Spanish. Lynn provides her own colorful commentary and a running translation.
A true rarity - I may be the only person who has this movie, "Run for Cover". I don't think it was ever released, but Lynn appears in this single scene - which certainly captures her unique style. Enjoy!
P.S. When I showed this to her a few years ago, she thought it was HYSTERICAL - but was glad it didn't get much attention.
This is, without a doubt, one of my favorite Lynn clips. From WABC, circa 1992. One of the first things I ever heard from her, and still the one I go back to which I think epitomizes her. Not only is the review classic Lynn, but the follow-up caller...and how Lynn turns the tables on her. The brilliance, the quick mind, the humor....it's all there. Enjoy!
Don't forget - Mike Feder will be paying tribute to Lynn on what was really her "home" - SiriusXM Left 127 (ok, it's no Sirius 146, but still...). Saturday night starting at 6PM EST. I will be on and some others close to her. He'll also be taking calls, so this will be a perfect time for the regulars to chime in.
